2005 Bordeaux is the year to buy! If you have the money, you cannot own enough of these stunning Bordeaux wines. I have tasted the top wines from the 2005 Bordeaux vintage multiple times and without a doubt, the wines continue improving after each tasting.
2005 Bordeaux is the vintage of our generation, just like 1982, 1961 or 1959 was to previous generations with one exception. 2005 Bordeaux wines are better because the wines are fabulous from top to bottom and in every appellation and price level! For more detailed information on the 2005 Bordeaux vintage, harvest and the wines: 2005 Bordeaux Wine For those of you looking for the best wines from the vintage, which can sadly be quite expensive, we just tasted all the best 2005 Bordeaux wines. You can read about that as well: 2005 Bordeaux Tasting Notes for the top 125 wines
While expensive, 2005 Bordeaux wines are so good, they are worth the tariff. Personally, Pomerol and St. Emilion rocked my boat more than the Left Bankers. They are less tannic, extremely dense, opulent, rich, concentrated wines that will age and evolve into some of the best drinking experiences of your life. That is the first place I would put my money if I had not already bought everything I wanted, or should I say “desired and could afford” from the 2005 Bordeaux vintage.
At their best, 2005 Bordeaux wines are rich, ripe, concentrated, deep, polished, silky and tannic with a beautiful sense of symmetry and purity of fruit. Everything is in harmony. There is such a wealth of perfectly ripe fruit, 2005 Bordeaux can be enjoyed young, yet the wines will need time to mature. The best 2005 Bordeaux will easily age and develop for decades.
This is a list of top 2005 Bordeaux value wine. These are the best Bordeaux wines offering quality, character, price from every major Bordeaux appellation.
