One of the most consistent producers, 2010 L'Aventure Cote a Cote is another success. Deep in color, this blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre created a rich wine with jammy black and blue fruits, cocoa, spice and earth. Rich, ripe and round, the wine ends with sweet, fat black cherries.

From a Chateauneuf du Pape styled blend of 40% Grenache, 40% Syrah, and 20% Mourvedre, the wine offers licorice, herbs, black cherry, jam and herbal scents. Lush and sweet, there is noticeable heat from the 15.9% ABV. This is not for everyone, due to the heat and jammy qualities. I liked tasting the wine, and see the quality, but it's not a wine I'd purchase for my cellar.

From an interesting Rhone Ranger styled blend of 50% Syrah, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Petit Verdot, the perfume is filled with jammy black raspberries, licorice, chocoalte fudge, earth and herbal aromas. Full bodied and densely concentrated with ripe black and blue fruit, there is some heat that is discerned in the finish.
