Famille Perrin / Perrin & Fils Les Hauts de Julien (Vinsobres)
Deep, dark, and intense, the wine is rich, ripe, and loaded with black and blue fruit, pepper, tannin, toasty oak, black cherry, chocolate, and licorice. Power and intensity are the hallmarks of this palate-staining elixir. The wine was made from a blend of 80% old vine Syrah planted in 1920 and 20% Grenache. The wine is whole-cluster vinified and aged in new demi-muids for 10-12 months before bottling. Only 400 cases were produced. Drink from 2024-2035. 1,840 Views Tasted Sep 26, 2022 |

Famille Perrin / Perrin & Fils Domaine du Clos des Tourelles (Gigondas)
Garrigue, herbs, and peppery red fruit, with a strong underbrush accent on the nose. The wine is fresh, ripe, easy to like, and offers its sweet cherries and strawberries with a touch of olive on the palate and finish. This can be enjoyed on release. The wine was made from a blend of 80% Grenache with 20% Syrah. Drink from 2022-2030. 1,710 Views Tasted Sep 26, 2022 |

Famille Perrin / Perrin & Fils Vieilles Vignes L'Argnee (Gigondas)
Dark ruby in color, the wine is earthy, rich, elegant and although there is a rustic character to the tannins, the fruit is ripe, sweet, and soft, with purity and freshness on the palate. The wine is tannic and structured as well as concentrated, so you should age it for at least a few years before you begin drinking it over the following 10-20 years. The bad news is very little wine is produced. In a good year, maybe 1,000 bottles are produced. The wine is made from 100% Grenache from a single, 1-hectare parcel of vines that are all pre-phylloxera. The vines were planted in about 1870. Drink from 2025-2040. 2,122 Views Tasted Sep 26, 2022 |

Ruby red in color, the wine is spicy and fresh with accents of olives, herbs, earth, flowers, and peppery kirsch. There is more of that sweet and spicy character in the finish to accompany all that juicy kirsch. 2,812 Views Tasted Nov 19, 2021 |
