Search Wine Tasting Notes

For a better Search Result, use the Advanced Wine Search. Else, enter the wine name and the vintage if desired, or the region for tasting notes. If you don’t get the result you’re seeking, either we do not have tasting notes on the wine or for that exact year. To help your search results, broaden your search to just the wine name and check for spelling errors. You can sort your results by ratings, vintage or alphabetically.

From a blend of 66% Cabernet Franc, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot, the wine pops with licorice, vanilla bean, black cherry, earth and leaf notes. Medium/full bodied, with soft tannins, this forward styled wine is already fun to taste.

Perhaps not the most complex wine, but for pure pleasure, due to the opulent texture and layers of chocolate covered cherry and black plums, with a luscious blast of fruit in the finish, this is just great. 20 minutes in the decanter and it was ready to go.

Chocolate covered cherries, espresso and earthy scents open to a fat, lush, concentrated, open style of wine. This is already delicious! Aged in 50% new, French oak for 18 months, with a production of only 68 case, this 100% Merlot is going to be difficult to find.

The depth of color is surpassed by the complexity in the fragrance with its showy, black raspberry jam, vanilla, clove, blueberry, smoke, licorice and black pepper scents. Rich, concentrated and plush, this forward styled Syrah ends with along, rich, spicy, jammy, black cherry sensation. From 100% Syrah and aged in 67% new, French oak for 18 months, this wine drinks well on release. I'd opt for drinking it over the next 6-10 years, to keep it's beautiful, sweet fruit.

From 100% Cabernet Franc aged in 67% new, French oak for 18 months, the wine opens with coffee bean, licorice, spicy blackberry and herbal aromas. Ripe, sweet, round and forward, this is probably the best example of a wine produced from 100% Cabernet Franc in California.

Have you ever found an orphan bottle in your cellar, hidden behind other bottles that you had no idea, you even owned it? This is one those bottles. Licorice, burnt leaf, iron, espresso, herb and plummy scents take little effort to find. On the palate, the texture is soft, but there is a definitive green, herbaceous streak and some dryness that is going to thrill some tasters, while those traits are going to be a turn off for others. I'm in the middle. Popped and poured, there is no reason to hold this wine for further development.

This starts off with cassis, vanilla, oak, spice, leaf, pepper and a hint of cold steel in the nose. Full bodied, with elegant textures, this round wine ends with black cherry, bitter chocolate and plum notes
