Surprisingly good for the vintage, the wine is elegant, refined, supple, and packed with tobacco-laced cherries, plums, cigar wrappers, and scorched earth. Medium-bodied, elegant, soft, and fresh, with nuances of smoked earth along with red berries in the finish. To think this was more than 100 years of age!
