With so many great wines from St. Emilion in 2022, we had to divide our report into 3 reports! While the vintage might not be completely homogenous, there are simply an incredible array of gorgeous, silky sensuous, rich, vibrant wines worth tasting and cellaring this year.
2022 St. Emilion is a beautiful expression of the appellation. Its water-retentive clay and limestone terroirs produced sublime wines with haunting aromatics, silky tannins, concentration, opulence, balance, refinement and freshness. In short, there are several stunning wines this year!

2022 Pessac Leognan wines offer serious character. They are silky creamy, rich and fresh, but not consistent. 2022 is a red wine vintage. While the white wines are aromatic and fruity, the best wines this year are clearly the Cabernet based blends.
