The 15.92-hectare vineyard on the limestone plateau of Saint Emilion is planted to 70% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Franc, and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon produces a full-bodied, rich wine with ample chocolate, blackberry, black raspberry, stone, licorice and truffle flavors.
Clos St. Martin is sensuous. It’s round, opulent, soft textures, coupled with plums, dark berries, licorice and minerality. With only 500 cases produced for the world, it’s worth the effort to find a few bottles.

Vieux Chateau Certan is an elegant Pomerol. It’s full bodied, rich and offers ripe blackberry, plum, floral, chocolate and spice aromas. The texture can be pure silk and velvet. The wine is effortless to drink, yet it’s complex and ages well.
La Mission Haut Brion is a bigger and more tannic wine than Haut Brion. Yet, in some years, La Mission Haut Brion produces a better wine. If a reclassification were done, this is one wine that would be promoted to First Growth status.
The large gravel found throughout the estate’s topsoil absorb the sun’s heat during the day and release it at night. This improves the maturity of the grape giving much of the special character to this Bordeaux wine.
