2017 is another strong vintage of the delicious, sweet white wines of Bordeaux. Better in Sauternes than Barsac, and better than many of the red wines from the vintage, there are several strong wines worth looking at.

Bordeaux is 90% red wine. Of course that is what Bordeaux is famous for. But the dry white Bordeaux wines with their crisp fruits and blazing acidity steals the show.

It’s ironic that Bordeaux is often most famous as a region for the best, and often expensive wines. But as you should already know, what Bordeaux does best is produce millions of cases of well priced, value wines and petit chateau.
