All of the following 2021 Listrac and 2021 Moulis Bordeaux wines were tasted in my home office in non-blind tasting conditions in my home office.

2021 Branas-Grand-Poujeaux – Moulis en Médoc – Licorice, chocolate and dark red fruits appear in the nose easily. The wine is medium-bodied, soft and shows some polish to its chocolate and black raspberry mid-palate and finish. Drink from 2024-2035. 91 Pts

2021 Cap Leon Veyrin – Listrac-Médoc – Firm, green, peppery-edged, bright fruits with a chewy texture and touches of chalk in the mid-palate and in the finish, with a helpful dash of chocolate and spearmint on the backend. This will be best in its youth. Drink from 2024-2030. 88 Pts

2021 Capdet – Listrac-Médoc – Light, tart, bright red fruits with a strong, earthy, herbal edge, finishing with crisp red fruit and tobacco leaf. Drink from 2024-2032. 84 Pts

2021 Caroline – Moulis en Médoc – Espresso, leafy herbs, cherries, and tobacco leaf notes show in the nose and on the palate, giving you cherries, strawberries and black raspberries with a touch of peppery spice on the palate. This should be delicious on release, and over the next few years. Drink from 2024-2032. 87 Pts

2021 Cartujac – Moulis en Médoc – With a touch of spice that accompanies the crisp, bright, red berries in the nose and on the palate, the wine is forward, and while easy to drink, the fruit in the finish becomes drying on your palate. Drink from 2024-2031. 86 Pts

2021 Chemin Royal – Moulis en Médoc – High-pitched cherries and black raspberries come along with a touch of spice in the nose. The palate is equally bright with freshness in the crisp red berries in the mid-palate and in the chewy finish. Drink from 2024-2036. 87 Pts

2021 Clarke – Listrac-Médoc – Medium-bodied, with an oaky edge to the layers of black and red cherries, herbs, licorice, cocoa and espresso. There is a nice softness to the fruits on the mid-palate that carries through to the finish. This is one of the few wines this year that is showing much better in the bottle than it did from barrel, hence, the higher score. Chateau Clarke is one very few wines in the Medoc planted to 100% Merlot. Drink from 2024-2036. 90 Pts

2021 Dutruch Grand Poujeaux – Moulis en Médoc – Licorice, black cherries, flowers and a touch of tobacco form the core and character here. Medium-bodied, forward and already fun to taste, the wine finishes with savory herb, orange rind and bright, red berries. Drink from 2024-2036. 90 Pts

2021 Fonreaud – Listrac-Médoc – Espresso, flowers, cherries and cocoa aromatics get you focused on the wine. On the palate, the wine is soft, fresh, vibrant and easy to drink, with its cherry and red plum finish. Drink from 2024-2035. 89 Pts

2021 Fourcas Hosten – Listrac-Médoc – Black cherries, licorice, cocoa and orange peel produce the nose. The palate is medium-bodied, firm and fresh with dusty tannins in the citrus and cocoa packed finish. Drink from 2024-2034. 88 Pts

2021 Fourcas-Dupre – Listrac-Médoc – Wet earth, dried flowers and spicy red plums get the wine moving in the nose. Medium-bodied, soft and filled with sweet, red cherries, red plums and herbs, this superb value wine is really showing well. Drink from 2024-2035. 90 Pts

2021 Granins Grand Poujeaux – Moulis en Médoc – Red fruits, licorice, cocoa and flowers open the wine. Medium-bodied, soft, elegant and fresh, with a slight hint of cocoa that shows up at the end of the finish. The wine will be easy to enjoy on release. Drink from 2024-2034. 89 Pts

2021 Guitignan – Moulis en Médoc – Light in fruit, and light on the palate with savory herbs and red currants front and center from start to finish. This uncomplicated easy-drinker will be ready on release. There is a nice little dab of cocoa on the backend of the finish that adds to the wine. Drink from 2024-2029. 86 Pts

2021 Lalaudey – Moulis en Médoc – Bright, vibrant, crisp red fruits with a dusty edge and a cranberry edged finish are what you find here. Drink from 2024-2030. 84 Pts

2021 Lestage – Listrac-Médoc – Medium-bodied, pleasant, fresh, reasonably-fruity early drinking wine that will be ready to go on release. Drink from 2024-2033. 87 Pts

2021 Malmaison – Moulis en Médoc – Spicy red fruits, dried flowers, and cherries pop in nose. On the palate, the wine shows a soft side to its fruit, with a salty edge to the finish. Drink from 2023-2034. 89 Pts

2021 Maucaillou – Moulis en Médoc – Much better in the bottle, than in the barrel, the wine is fresh, vibrant and uplifted. With its core of sweet. bright, red fruits and chalky endnote, this will be quite easy to enjoy on release. Drink from 2024-2034. 89 Pts

2021 Mauvesin Barton – Moulis en Médoc – Here, the bright, red fruits and tobacco notes shine in the nose and on the medium-bodied palate. Soft, forward and ready to drink, you should enjoy this on the young side. Drink from 2024-2029. 88 Pts

2021 Pomeys – Listrac-Médoc – With a strong herb and medicinal cherry nose, the wine is crisp, crunchy and high-toned on the medium-bodied palate. Drink from 2024-2033. 88 Pts

2021 Poujeaux – Moulis en Médoc – Dried flowers, spice, licorice, and plums with savory herbs starts off the wine. On the palate, you find freshness, energy and sweetness in its core of cherries, currants and strawberries, with a touch of peppery spice and chocolate that comes in at the end of the finish. You can enjoy this with pleasure on release The wine blends 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, 13% ABV. Drink from 2024-2036. 91 Pts

2021 Poujeaux La Salle – Moulis en Médoc – Pleasant, easy-drinking, light, bright, olive and red berry oriented charmer that will be best enjoyed over the next few years. Drink from 2024-2029 85 Pts

2021 Vieux Moulin – Listrac-Médoc – Flowers, spice, cherries and strawberries form the core of the character here. Medium-bodied, with soft-textured, black and red currants, cocoa and a hint of earthy, savory herbs in the chewy finish are the hallmarks of this wine. Drink from 2024-2033. 89 Pts
