Chateau Margaux names new Technical Director, Thomas Do-Chi-Nam for the historic First GrowthBordeaux chateau.

Do-Chi-Nam leaves Chateau Pichon Comtesse de Lalande after holding the job of Technical Director at that famed Pauillac estate since 1992. Â The outgoing technical director, Philippe Bascaules, is moving to Napa, where he will direct the historic Inglenook vineyard that is owned by Francis Ford Coppola. Thomas will not take over as technical director at Margaux until after the 2011 harvest at Pichon Lalande.

A: Paul Pontallier – “We considered making a lot of changes indeed which were planned long ago, and Thomas will be very helpful in putting them together. At the same time, we welcome his outsider’s view / opinion on everything we do now.”
