2022 Cap St. George – St. Georges-St. Émilion – On the floral edge in the nose, the wine is soft, fresh, and polished, with a vibrant, refined edge to the red fruits, chocolate, and chalky character in the finish. The wine blends 84% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon. This is perfect for early drinking pleasure, or you can age it for more complexity. Drink from 2025-2037. 91-93 Pts. 92 Pts

2022 Cap d’Or – St. Georges-St. Émilion – Flowers, red fruits, smoke, and a fun touch of citrus create the nose. The palate is medium-bodied, round, and fruity with a polished, creamy finish. 2022 Clos Bertineau Merlot – Montagne-St. Émilion – Round, lush, chocolatey, and fresh, there is a wealth of sweet, ripe, juicy, dark plums, and cherries coated with chocolate to savor here. The wine is made from 100% Merlot. Drink from 2025-2035. 92 Pts

2022 Clos de Bouard – Montagne-St. Émilion – Cherries, flowers, licorice, spice, and cocoa pop in the nose. The palate is even better with its wealth of ripe, round fruits, soft, silky, textures, and creamy, mineral-tinted finish. The wine blends 85% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon. 2022 Clos de Boüard Dame de Boüard – Montagne-St. Émilion – Vibrant, sweet, cherries, licorice, and wet earth aromas pack the perfume. Medium-bodied, soft, refined, and fresh, this is good-to-go with pleasure on release. And as a tip, this gem sells for a song! Drink from 2025-2031. 90 Pts

2022 Courlat – Lussac-St. Émilion – Flowers and chocolate create a beautiful perfume. The palate is sweet, round, fresh, and fruity, with a chalky, minty, black cherry, licorice, and espresso-tinged, creamy finish. The wine is produced from a parcel selection of 100% Merlot. Drink from 2025-2038. 92 Pts

2022 Courlat Cuvée Jean Baptiste – Lussac-St. Émilion – Flowers, chocolate, and plums pack the perfume. The palate is even better with its lush, dark, plums, cherries, and chocolate all delivered with ease, in its polished, silky finish. This is perhaps the best wine of the appellation. 2022 Croix de Haut-Bernat – Puisseguin-St. Émilion – Flowers, cherries, and a slight touch of oak define the nose. The medium-bodied palate is light, but the fruit that is there is easy to like and drink. This will be at its best over the next few years. Drink from 2025-2030. 87 Pts

2022 Flaunys – Montagne-St. Émilion – Produced from 100% Merlot. the wine is round, supple, creamy, and fruity, with a soft-textured, juicy, fruity, cherry, and plum finish that holds your focus. Drink from 2022-2035. 90 Pts

2022 La Claymore – Lussac-St. Émilion – Flowers, mint, espresso, and red fruits shoot straight into the nose, and in into the forward, medium-bodied, ready-to-go palate. Drink from 2025-2032. 89 Pts

2022 La Grande Barde – Montagne-St. Émilion – Medium-bodied, forward, bright, and crisp wine, with a sweet, and tart, strawberry, and bright, red plum finish. Drink from 2025-2030. 87 Pts

2022 La Haute Claymore – Lussac-St. Émilion – Medium-bodied, forward, early-drinking, charmer with a sweetness to the fruits, but a lightness in the soft, finish. Drink from 2025-2032. 92 Pts

2022 La Papeterie, Château – Montagne-St. Émilion – Flowers, cherries, black raspberries, and a hint of espresso aromatics come together well. The wine is medium-bodied, soft, creamy, lifted, and more importantly, it is fully ready-to-go on release. Drink from 2025-2035. 90 Pts

2022 Les Combes – Lussac-St. Émilion – Light, fresh, floral, and forward, this wine is perfect for light, early-drinking, charming, pleasure. Drink from 2025-2032. 87 Pts

2022 Lestage – Montagne-St. Émilion – Medium-bodied, forward, sweet, round, but not very complex, the wine is open, and already tasty, finishing with a chocolatey, plummy character. Drink from 2025-2032. 87 Pts

2022 Lussac – Lussac-St. Émilion – Medium-bodied, juicy, fruity, and fresh, as well as open, it is easy to find, and enjoy all the sweet, ripe, red cherries, cocoa, and mint on the mid-palate and in the finish. I like the touch of orange rind on the backend. Drink from 2025-2032. 89 Pts

2022 Marquis de Lussac – Lussac-St. Émilion – Licorice, black cherries, flowers, and cocoa aromatics open the wine. Medium-bodied, soft, fruity, and creamy, as well as ready-to-go, this is perfect for near-term consumption. Drink from 2025-2034. 88 Pts

2022 Mayne Blanc Cuvee Saint Vincent – Lussac-St. Émilion – Savory herbs, leafy tobacco, and spicy red fruits show in the nose. On the palate, the wine is sweet, juicy, and fresh, with a nice sweetness touched by oak in the finish. Drink from 2025-2032. 90 Pts

2022 Mayne Blanc Cuvee Speciale – Lussac-St. Émilion – Medium-bodied wine that opens with a strong hint of toasted oak before moving on the sweet red fruits, and cocoa on the palate. Easy to drink, this will be ready to drink on release. Drink from 2025-2032. 88 Pts

2022 Montlabert Chloe – Montagne-St. Émilion – Smoke, mint, licorice, cherries and oak show with ease in the nose, and on the medium-bodied, chalky palate. The finish is bright, with an herbal, fresh edge. This is perfect for early drinking pleasure. Drink from 2025-2031. 87 Pts

2022 Montlabert Renaissance – Montagne-St. Émilion – Medium-bodied wine with a nice sweetness to the red fruits, along with olives, herbs, spice, cocoa, and citrus in the finish. You can enjoy this with ease on release. Drink from 2025-2032. 89 Pts

2022 Robin La Fleur Cuvèe Saint-Jean – Lussac-St. Émilion – Light, fruity, forward, soft, and fruity, this is ready to go on release for all of its cherry, and cocoa charms. Drink from 2025-2031. 86 Pts

2022 Roc de Calon – Montagne-St. Émilion – Black raspberries, with chocolate covered, plums hits the spot in this soft, round, forward, charming wine. You can enjoy this on release and for at least decade. Drink from 2025-2035. 90 Pts

2022 Rocher Corbin – Montagne-St. Émilion – Light bright, forward wine with a simple, albeit, pleasant, cocoa. and red plum finish for early drinking pleasure. Drink from 2025-2031. 87 Pts

2022 Roudier – Montagne-St. Émilion – Forward, fruity, medium-bodied, early-drinking, wine with a pleasant, round, plummy finish. This is going to be best enjoyed in its youth. Drink from 2025-2031. 89 Pts

2022 Simon Blanchard Champ de la Fenetre – Montagne-St. Émilion – Black cherries, chocolate, licorice, espresso and spice are apparent in the nose, and on the palate. The vibrant finish has a nice touch of orange rind that pops up on the backend. Drink from 2025-2037. 92 Pts

2022 Simon Blanchard Guitard – Montagne-St. Émilion – Dark chocolate, espresso, flowers, licorice, spice, and black cherry notes are all over the place. Fresh, lush, round, and fruity on the palate, the wine finishes with creamy-textured cherries with a refreshing blast of chocolate-covered orange rind on the backend. Drink from 2025-2038. 93 Pts

2022 Simon Blanchard Village – Montagne-St. Émilion – Medium-bodied, floral, fruity, and forward, the chocolate accents with a touch of refreshing citrus in the finish is quite nice. You can enjoy this on release and over the next decade with ease. Drink from 2025-2035. 90 Pts

2022 St. Georges – St. Georges-St. Émilion – Light, fresh, and charming, there is not a lot of heft here, but you do find a likeable glass of sweet, cherries with a strong sense of minerality in the finish. Drink from 2025-2032. 89 Pts

2022 Teyssier Montagne – Montagne-St. Émilion – Soft, round, supple, and plummy, the wine is medium-bodied, forward, and is already easy-to-enjoy. The finish is soft, fruity, and leaves you with hints of cocoa-topped cherries. Drink from 2025-2033. 90 Pts

2022 Tour du Pas St. Georges – St. Georges-St. Émilion – Cherries, and black raspberries with a floral edge are what you initially notice. The medium-bodied palate is lively, fresh, and fruity, with loads of sweet, red cherries in the mineral-tinted finish. This is a new gem from Hubert de Bouard that could be a wine to look out for, for value seekers. Drink from 2025-2038. 91 Pts

2020 Treytins – Montagne-St. Émilion – Medium-bodied, chocolatey, round, fruity, savory-edged wine for early-drinking consumption, with a chalky accent in the finish. Drink from 2023-2033. 89 Pts

2022 Vieux-Chateau-Palon – Montagne-St. Émilion – Espresso, flowers, and herbs add complexities to the sweet, red, and black pit fruits in the nose. The wine is soft, medium-bodied, and supple with a nice, sweet, polished fruit-packed finish. The wine blends 75% Merlot with 25% Cabernet Franc. Drink from 2025-2037. 92 Pts
